So, a new road project was inaugurated... So, reports PrajaVani.
By road minister nithin gadkari. Ministers from Karnataka & central government together participated in the function. Where did they inaugurate it?
ITC Windsor manor hotel....
I kept seeing such things happening during Congress rule..
Conferences to reduce poverty, being held at 5-star hotels.....
Mineral water bottles being wasted at efficient use of water....
What changes has NaMo bought?
Transport (road, rail, water transport) is to important to be shown neglect...
Showing-off that it is different in governance, is much sought after act bin the current administration...
And here, you see the decades old habit of gala announcement, without any ground work.... How about actually starting the project?
Alas, the minister himself uttered the truth.... "We are only inaugurating the road work.. We do not know when the land for building roads would be provided, we do not expect the work to start before December 2015..."(uttered on March 30.....)
What was the point in inaugurating this road work at a costly hotel, when no ground work has been initiated?
Old story....
Lock the funds to build the road, but just don't do any work for months.... Increase the burden of financing the project & then cry afoul of lack of funds, lack of co ordination...... Blah blah blah...
In fact, Modi government has already lost a central minister (Gopinath Munde) in a road accident.
Casual attitude of "chaltaa hai" has become leitmotif of modi cabinet....
Certainly not an encouraging scene for modi fans.
How about such a inauguration?
Land, developing company & finance has been secured.
Inaugurate the project announce tentative completion date....
Any delay leads to penalty to developing company & the state government...
With incentives built in to complete the road on-time, work would get prioritized.....
Well, such were the achche din we voted for....
NaMo, sir you asked for 60 months.... 51 remaining...
